Woodward Mansions

Every Monday beginning March 19th, the Detroit News has a feature called “Woodward Avenue: A journey through 200 years.” The first one was about Forans Pub at Woodward and Congress and dealt with its long history of political machine customers and the history of the building itself. The following week we took a trip back into history visiting all the dance halls and jazz clubs that were present in the last century.

Today’s article gives you a glimpse into the fabulous homes and nieghborhoods along Woodward between 6 and 7 mile roads. Without quoting the News, why don’t you just check it out all this historic grandeur yourself. It’s a facinating journey.
