I'd be more nervous that my gate operator couldn't give me an exact location of who they contract to tow cars. Or that they contracted someone in are area they found "run down". Do you by chance live anywhere near Wayne's campus? Near the beginning of classes last year my car was towed TWICE - both times for non-permit parking - when my permit was stuck right in place. I think they just get tow happy for a few weeks and grab whatever car is closest. Was it a private company that towed it?
