Oh, I went shopping…but not at 5AM. No way would I drive all that way just to see that a million other people were already in line at a store that had 15 sale televisions in stock. I waiting until around 3 and then got my deals. I also thanked God every single second that I no longer work in retail.

Though, I admit, I spent way more than I could afford and used the “but it’s on SALE!” justification way to many times.

I work for a department store and I had to be up to serve all the soccer moms that were up at the pre-butt-crack of dawn, just so they could buy cheap crappy DVD players that are going to break on them within a few months of using them.

But seeing parking lots full and lines everywhere, only to save a few bucks – sorry, that’s just too much for me to handle, both as a customer and as an employee.
