I’m leaving New York early this morning to head back to Detroit, so I will not be one of the thousands of people taking advantage of “Black Friday” shopping deals.

Even if I weren’t traveling, though, you’d have to pay me to go to a mall or big box store today.

Don’t get me wrong — I LOVE a good deal. Actually, I live for getting things at a discount (my husband and I took advantage of two different NY outlet malls this week alone). For me, however, the large crowds and long lines of Black Friday are a major turn-off. But that’s just me.
