I am so glad that Colgate is already donating a fun center to each city on the list, but getting an extra one will be great for our city. We have one of the largest medical campuses in the country and anything to attract people to this talent is welcome. I spent some time in a children’s hospital in Canada visiting a sick friend. These fun centers are as much for the adults as the children. When dealing with life threatening illness there is comfort in the escape to a world of juvenile fancy. When voting this morning, I kept getting the secret word incorrect, but at the third try I am happy to say we are just ever so slightly in second place.

Really? Well, I suppose my ardor for the cause prevented me from reading it thoroughly. Anyway, let’s just keep that between us so that we can drum up the troops to help us win that second fun center. We deserve it, anyway.

I just wanted to point out that Colgate is giving a fun center to every hospital on the list so in a way, we’re already winners :) The contest is still going, though, and the winner of all the votes on February 29 will get an additional fun center, so keep voting!
