Gonna “hitch a ride” to Boston

Sorry about the title; cheesy I know.

Bostononians, get ready, packs of “clydesdales” will be thumping and grunting through your fine city in a couple of days. I am posting today, because tommorow I have to pack and do all of the last minutes tasks surrounding a weekend away – I am attending the tenth annual marathon for the larger end of the X/Y crowd. Boston is home to the “Big Man Run X” It is a race for men that are…well…big. I won’t be running (though I am double the minimum weight requirement [160]). I will, on the otherhand, be snooping around Boston and drinking good beer and waiting at the finish line for my friends Tony and Ryan to finish.

The cool part of this race is the mandatory beer and hotdog stops at a couple stations midway through the race. There is also a mandatory $1 tip for the ladies that dispense the franks. I look forward to seeing a fellow metroblog city and spreading some love from “the D”. ‘Til then…

It sounds a lot like hashing (the “drinking club with a running problem”), only with food.

Boston rocks… I grew up 90 mins north of there. If you take the train up to Wells, Maine, you can go harass my parents.
