Must see

A surprising number of Detroit blogs exist in the cyber world. Everyday I seem to find a new one. There is one site though that I anxiously await every new post. No, it is not Detroitblog or DetroitFunk or even MotorCityRocks, though I love all three of those sites. The site is called The Snowsuit Effect.

Essentially a photo essay of the city, each day features a different photo of a resident and some amazing words from them. Lately, the residents featured have been mostly homeless. The photos alone stop you in your track and show the humanity of people we ignore or belittle. Add in their own words and you can’t ignore them. In a way, their faces and their words haunt you.

Go visit this site. Be moved. Think. Wonder. Reconsider

Thanks for sharing this, MGal. It is an amazing site, and a must view for all SE Michiganders.

Looks like you mis-typed the name of this site. It’s EFFORT not EFFECT. Great post!
