Detroit with New Orleans Flava

Is it possible for the New Orleans flava to rebuild, restart, or relocate to Detroit MI?
Is it possible to see Cafe Du Monde in Royal Oak MI?
I know that I would sip some coffee and eat some beignets up in the “D”.
Detroit has some spots that would love to see roots New Orleans musicians grace the stage. Bakers Keyboard Lounge is a great example. Anyone who has been anyone in the Jazz scene has played on Bakers stage. Ray Charles played on the very keyboard on stage. Billie Holliday’s voice floated out onto Livernois.
I can picture open air Jazz Clubs, street side musicians and southern architecture balconies along Lafayette.
Dr. john was up here last week for the Detroit International Jazz Fest. I wonder what he thought of Detroit? Would he take up residence in the Motor City?
