Detroit Metblog Holiday Party

The Detroit Metblog authors and friends came by for a holiday party this evening. We had plenty of food, wine, drinks and fun.. including petanque on my living room floor.
It was a fun time had by all.
Terribly sorry I was not able to make it, as we’re on holiday in Pittsburgh.
My offer stands to host the next one. Glad you all had a great time!
Indeed, I had a marvelous time at the MGAL residence.
Ray-W’s latkes were great – I ate about 8 of them with applesauce (YES, applesauce goes on potato pancakes); and Baliad’s meaty-buns were also delish (I’m referring to the appetizers (my dinner) he brought – though admitted that he didn’t “make” from scratch). I polished off MGAL Mom’s homemade cookies this morning (hey- good is good!) and am looking forward to our next food-festa gathering.
Playing mini-Petanque in the livingroom, amidst all of the revellers was fun. We brought, I think, a whole bunch of newly interested Petanquers into the fold (those who are reading this, we can STILL hold Mini-Petanque in any available hallway, livingroom, or medium-sized lavatory (with the appropriate carpet of course).
Next time we have a festa at MGAL’s – I’m bringing a glass-cutter for the window (y’all know what I mean…)
Good meeting you for the first time – and looking forward to our next soiree. Happy New Year.
it was a great time!!! thanks to mgal for hosting the event… meeting everyone was great… hopefully more metbloggers can make the next one!!!
I’m glad folks enjoyed the latkes! I slaved over a cold freezer and hot oven for hours getting them just right! :)
