The Meetery Eatery

was lookin’ for a place to chill tonight and i had forgotten about a fairly unknown place called The Meetery Eatery… it’s a small place located on the first floor of the Park Shelton in Midtown, right next to the DIA across from the DHM… i hadn’t been here in a while, but i was glad to see that things are still goin’ well… Wednesday nights are Jazz nights, with live Jazz music every week… Thursday nights (tonight) are set aside for Acoustic Open Mic nights… Markita Moore hosts it and she’s a fine talent… all the other acts tonight have been pretty decent too… Friday nights are for Poetry Open Mic nights… they’re open for lunch and dinner, but there’s a $5 cover charge for Jazz, Acoustic and Poetry Open Mic nights… the food ain’t too shabby either… check it out if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ different to do in Midtown… maybe after you chill at the DIA???

I was just there Tuesday night. A friend of mine purchased a condo at the Park Shelton last month. This is a great little place to chill out/hang out, surf the net, or grab some grub.

My husband & I just moved to Detroit several months ago and we bought a condo at the Park Shelton. We like having the Meetery Eatery right in the lobby and the staff is very friendly. A nice, casual place; very pleasant.
