Opening Day
So it is Opening Day in the city. What are you doing today? Unfortunately, I am not skipping work.
This is an open thread for you to share your Opening Day adventures.

i wish i was going to the game too, but i’m not… i intend to be hangin’ out downtown though once i get off work… hopefully it’ll be semi-busy downtown…
I wish I could have gone to Opening Day. Alas, I had to tape it, and started watching it as soon as I could. A disappointing game, but still great to see the boys of summer out in Comerica Park again.
I was fortunate enough to be at Opening Day this year. I sat in the pavilion section in left field. Even though the Tigers lost the game, it was still a great day. The weather was ideal and the people were cheerful and friendly.
I try to go to each and every Opening Day that I can. There is something great about being in the heart of the city in the afternoon during the work week with thousands of other people.
The sights, the smells of sausage & peppers, hot dogs, peanuts, beer….it’s much like a city festival. Everyone is happy and excited and this day officially marks the beginning of Spring in Detroit. It truly is like a holiday in this city.
Lots more baseball to come and many more good times down at the park for me I’m sure. I can’t wait for Summer to get here. Go Tigers! Go Detroit!
