World Cup

World Cup starts tomorrow. Now the big question is where to watch the games? ABC/ESPN will be showing most of the games, but what if you don’t have cable. What bars will be catering to World Cup fans?

I’ve been told Currents and Spectadium (their website seems broken) may show some of the games. Anyone know of

My hypothesis would be that the pubs in Corktown would have the game on and a right rowdy crowd to join.

All I have to say that it sucks that one of our best players on the French team had to break his leg during a friendly match. I still am voting for the French to win.

Champs is advertising that they are World Cup headquarters. I tried to go to Livonia Champs to see how it matches up to other places. I would NOT recommend going there. There is no sound available and they turned on the games after me requesting to turn it on 5 times! I missed the first 10 minutes of the game. Not happy about that. Is there a particular place where Brazil & USA are going to view the games?

Is there a bar around East 85th street that a person from France can go to enjoy the match on Saturday?
