Detroit’s Annual Theatre Tour Just One Day Away!

Up a Staircase

This Saturday is the annual Theatre Tour held by Preservation Wayne. A fun event for anyone who admires movie palaces, architecture, or Detroit’s past. For the price of $35 (which may seem a lot, but is so worth it), you get to see the interiors of about a dozen theaters and a lunch at the Detroit Opera House.

It is my 3rd year volunteering for the event, and I enjoy every moment of it.

If you want to go, you better hurry as reservations are a MUST, as the event gets sold out quick.
Tours depart rain or shine, so please check ahead and dress appropriately. Call Preservation Wayne at (313) 577-7674 for more information. Payment by cash, check, and MasterCard or Visa is accepted.

Tour groups are limited in size and depart every half hour from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Registration and tours begin in the lobby of the State Theater on Woodward Avenue, one block south of the Fox. Parking is available at the Fox Garage, located just north of the Fox Theater, on Montcalm, directly west of Hockeytown Café.
