Detroit in Photographs

The book “American City: Detroit Architecture, 1845-2005” by photographer William Zbaren and writer Robert Sharoff has been the baby of Wayne State University Press for a good year now. From September 15 – November 18, 2006, the Detroit Public Library is hosting an exhibition of 80 photographs from the book at the Main Branch, on the 3rd Floor, in Strohm Hall “to celebrate Detroit’s heritage as a leader in architecture and design”.

I had not noticed before, but there are banners on the Woodward side of the building featuring some of the photography.
