something for nothing?
the Detroit Historical Museum was closed for the past few weeks to tidy things up and set up some new exhibits and whatnot but are re-opening September 8th and it’s FREE to get in all day. if you’re headed downtown for the Tigers game leave yourself enough time to check it out, they’ve got a new sports display set up, too. it’s pretty cool to read about some of the buildings that were built in the 1920s then drive by them on the way home.
The Dally in the Alley is this weekend as well, in the same Midtown neighborhood. The Dally is from 11A to 11P, leaving a good amount of time to stop at the museum before or after the festival. I plan to hit the museum and then go for a stroll and snack at the Dally.
that just shows you all how busy i’ve been lately, i completely forgot about the festival of freaks known as the Dally in the Alley. always a good time, for sure.
