a new title for the mighty Motor City
the front page of AOL has a subject titled “Americas Most Miserable City: High Crime and Few Jobs in this Town” and as soon as i read it all i could think was “please don’t let Detroit be #1”. i clicked cautiously hoping to see anything besides the Motown skyline but was quickly disappointed. last night Jay Leno dropped a joke about the Mayor, today there’s a story on the front page of USA Today about that whole mess and now i see this on AOL. maybe we wouldn’t be so miserable if everyone would stop reminding us about how miserable we are. there are a few of us out here doing what we can to sing the praises of this beautiful mess but sadly not enough.
